Eligibility Criteria

To apply under the Interest-Free Loan Scheme, the applicant must:

• Be a registered construction worker under the Punjab Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1965.

• Have regular contributions deposited with the Welfare Board by the employer.

• Be an active beneficiary for at least 6 months before applying.

• Apply for only one item at a time.

• Not be a defaulter on any previous loan.

• Have a standing guarantee from the employer (affidavit format).

Note: Loan repayment will be deducted directly from the worker’s salary and deposited through a payee account cheque by the principal employer in favor of the Chandigarh Labour Welfare Board.
