The Education Loan Scheme under NSFDC is a flagship initiative by the Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (HSFDC) in collaboration with the National Scheduled Castes Finance & Development Corporation (NSFDC). This scheme is designed to empower students from Scheduled Caste (SC) communities in Haryana by providing low-interest educational loans for higher studies in India and abroad.

Whether pursuing professional courses in engineering, medicine, law, or management—or planning international education—eligible students can access up to ₹30 lakhs under this supportive government initiative.


Objective of NSFDC Education Loan in Haryana

The primary goal of the scheme is to financially assist Scheduled Caste students in accessing quality professional and technical education. It ensures they are not held back due to lack of funds and promotes social upliftment through education.


Loan Coverage and Benefits

Maximum Loan Limit

  • For studies in India: Up to ₹10,00,000

  • For studies abroad: Up to ₹30,00,000

Expenses Covered

  • Admission & tuition fees

  • Books, stationery, lab tools

  • Examination fees

  • Boarding, lodging, and food expenses

  • Travel & passage (for abroad studies)

  • Insurance premiums (for loan protection)

  • Caution money, development charges, and other mandatory fees

Repayment & Recovery

  • Moratorium period: 6 months post-course completion or employment—whichever is earlier

  • Repayment duration: 20 quarterly installments over 5 years

  • A loan tag/marker is placed on the student’s degree/diploma until repayment is complete

Note: Loans are approved based on eligibility and on a case-by-case basis, subject to fund availability.

Eligibility Conditions

Applicants must meet the following criteria;

  • Domicile: Must be a permanent resident of Haryana

  • Caste: Must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) community

  • Age: Between 18 and 45 years

  • Family Income: Annual income must not exceed ₹3,00,000

    • 50% of seats reserved for families with income ≤ ₹1,50,000

    • The remaining 50% for income up to ₹3,00,000

  • Should be pursuing or admitted to a full-time recognized professional or technical course

  • The loan is available once per student at either diploma/graduate or postgraduate level (except integrated courses)


How to Apply – Online Process

Option 1: Apply via the HSFDC Website

  1. Eligible students may visit the HSFDC Official Website.
  2. Navigate to the ‘NSFDC Assisted Scheme’ section.

  3. Click on ‘Apply for Loan’

  4. Register with details like name, Aadhaar number, email, and mobile number.

  5. Verify via OTP and proceed to complete the application form.

  6. Upload documents and submit

  7. Save your user ID and password for future logins

  8. Finalize the profile and submit the completed application

Option 2: Apply via Antyodaya-SARAL Portal

  1. Navigate to the Antyodaya-SARAL Portal.
  2. If new, click on ‘New User’ and register,

  3. Complete OTP verification.

  4. Login using registered credentials.

  5. Search for ‘NSFDC Education Loan Scheme’ under services.

  6. Fill out the application form and upload documents.

  7. Preview and click Submit.

You can track the status using your Application ID on either the HSFDC or SARAL portal.

NOTE: For offline application process, eligible students should apply for loans through the concerned District Managers of the Corporation in the State along with documentary evidence of having secured admission to recognized regular full-time professional/ technical courses.
